I love the sushi, I go there often. So much so, my order is remembered... Happy Tuesday
This is kinda interesting; so my mom dropped the bomb that she decided the owners weren't Japanese just from reading the name, "Fuji Yama." Ya....be. Isn't that kinda bad? Anyways, I agreed. Lol. Let me explain. While Fuji is a generic name, and it's written in letters, there's more to it than that. First, I can't recall ever hearing someone Japanese say Fujiyama. Usually, it's Fuji-san...or even just Fuji on a sign. Or if you do use "yama" and letters. I believe you usually write it as one word "Fujiyama." Writing it as "Fuji Yama" seems weird. I don't have a lot of thoughts on the food itself. It's just another generically decent sushi place. Nothing really stands out about it. The teapot with the flowers on it is cute. We ordered 3 rolls of sushi, and they plated them together in an aesthetic pattern. Eel is always good. The clear soup was nice enough. The pictures of the hibachi don't look very good.
I love this place! I come every time i'm within 30 min as I travel for work. This is my favorite place in any town and worth the travel. Stefani is the kindest, hardest working person and she is the heart and backbone of Fujiyama. The food is phenomenal, their shrimp sauce is the best and their clear soup made me believe in clear soup again. I've always been a salad person and they've converted me. Their portions are hefty and count towards arm day. You'll want to go back the same week after trying her food
